Growing Advice

Plant in free-draining soil or compost in full sun or partial shade. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the compost to dry slightly between watering.

Although a half-hardy perennial, it can often survive outdoors in milder winters. In colder areas, protect it from the worst of the frost, particularly during prolonged cold spells.

Good drainage is especially important during winter, as Salvia 'Ember's Wish' dislikes sitting in wet conditions.
