Salvia 'Amethyst Lips'
A truly eye-catching salvia with beautiful two-tone flowers that change character as the season progresses. Salvia 'Amethyst Lips' produces rich imperial-purple blooms with delicate white markings, creating a striking contrast against its neat green foliage.
One of its most unusual features is that the flower colouring can change with the weather and season. During cooler periods the flowers tend to show more purple, while as summer progresses they often develop increasingly white colouring, giving the plant a constantly changing display.
Its naturally bushy habit makes it an excellent choice for borders, cottage gardens, raised beds and containers.

Growing Advice
Plant in free-draining soil or compost in full sun or partial shade. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the soil to dry slightly between watering.
The plant is drought tolerant once established, but good drainage is particularly important during winter. Avoid allowing it to sit in waterlogged soil or compost.
As a hardy perennial, 'Amethyst Lips' should survive normal UK winters, although protection from severe frost is recommended, particularly in colder or exposed gardens.
For the best flower display, give it plenty of sunshine and trim back spent flowers regularly to encourage further blooms.
