Narrative Description:
A deciduous shrub with large, architectural, lobed leaves. Edible, sweet figs are produced in autumn.
Ideal Conditions:
Prefers moist, free-draining soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Best grown trained against a sunny wall or fence. Restrict roots by laying rubble in the planting hole and lining the sides with paving slabs.
