Saxifraga x arendsii ‘Saxony Red’

A delightful low-growing perennial, valued for its vibrant spring colour. From March to May, it produces masses of bright red, star-shaped flowers held above compact mounds of mossy green foliage. Its neat, cushion-forming habit makes it a superb choice for adding splashes of colour to the garden early in the year.

Growing to around 10–15cm (4–6") tall with a spread of 20–25cm (8–10"), Saxifraga ‘Saxony Red’ is ideal for rock gardens, alpine troughs, containers, or edging sunny borders. It thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny or lightly shaded spot. Hardy, reliable, and easy to grow, it provides a cheerful display with very little maintenance.
