Lythrum salicaria (Purple Loosestrife)

A hardy perennial that reaches around 90–120cm (3–4ft) in height with a spread of 45–60cm (18–24"). From July to September, it produces tall spikes of vibrant purple-pink flowers that create a strong vertical accent in borders and damp areas. It thrives in moist soil, making it well-suited for pond edges, wildlife gardens, and wet meadows. The flowers are rich in nectar and highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
