A charming hardy perennial that provides welcome colour in the winter and early spring months (January to March). It produces delicate pink flowers above rounded, often patterned, dark green leaves. Compact in growth, it typically reaches 8–10cm (3–4") tall with a spread of 10–15cm (4–6").
This variety is perfect for brightening shady spots, woodland gardens, rockeries, and the front of borders. It thrives in moist but well-drained soil and naturalises beautifully over time, forming attractive carpets of foliage and flowers. Cyclamen coum is also highly valued for its resilience in cold weather, bringing reliable colour when little else is in bloom.
