Cerastium tomentosum ‘Snow in Summer’
Common name: Snow in Summer
A low-growing, spreading perennial forming a dense carpet of soft silver-grey foliage. In late spring to early summer, it becomes covered in masses of small, bright white star-shaped flowers, creating a striking “snowy” effect.
Ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, edging paths, or spilling over walls and raised beds. It thrives in poor, well-drained soil and is particularly useful for sunny, dry spots where other plants may struggle.
Drought tolerant once established and very low maintenance.
