Amaryllis ‘Gervase’ (Hippeastrum)
Amaryllis ‘Gervase’ is a truly eye-catching variety, featuring large, trumpet-shaped blooms in a striking mix of deep pink, soft rose, and white, each petal uniquely patterned for a one-of-a-kind display. Every stem carries three to four impressive flowers, making it a wonderful choice for adding vibrant colour indoors during the darker months.
This variety is easy to grow and ideal for pot culture. Plant the bulb in a large pot of quality loam-based compost, leaving the top half exposed above the surface. Position in a warm spot near a radiator or fireplace and water sparingly until new growth appears. Once shoots reach around 10cm, move to a bright, warm location to bring it into full bloom. Flowers typically appear 6–8 weeks after planting.
Supplied as large 30cm bulbs, Amaryllis ‘Gervase’ is perfect for creating a bold focal point in your home through winter and early spring.
