Ajuga reptans ‘Burgundy Glow’

A low-growing, creeping perennial that forms a dense, weed-suppressing carpet of colourful foliage. Its semi-evergreen leaves are silvery with cream margins, blushed with shades of burgundy, creating year-round interest. From May to June, it produces short flower spikes of rich dark blue blooms, much loved by bees and pollinators.

Reaching around 15cm (6") tall with a spreading habit, this hardy perennial is ideal for borders, ground cover, or planting beneath shrubs. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil and performs best in partial shade, though it will also tolerate poor soils in full shade. Easy to grow and very low-maintenance, Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ is a reliable choice for adding colour and texture to shaded garden areas.
