Lonicera nitida Garden Clouds® ‘Purple Storm’
Lonicera nitida Garden Clouds® ‘Purple Storm’ is a fantastic evergreen shrub with eye-catching young foliage in rich, iridescent dark purple. As the leaves mature, they develop into glossy bronze-green, giving the plant plenty of interest throughout the growing season.
The best purple colouring is produced when grown in full sun, particularly during spring. With its naturally bushy habit and excellent hardiness, ‘Purple Storm’ is a superb choice for low hedging, edging and topiary, and makes an excellent alternative to traditional Box (Buxus).
Left unpruned, it develops into a smart, medium-sized shrub, while regular trimming allows it to be kept neat and compact.
